Wheels and Wheel Spacers

 Every off road vendor sells cheap steel wheels that will “Fit”. But they wont “Work”. We are often asked, "What size wheels and tires should I run on my Samurai?" This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many different ways to use your Samurai. For most four-wheeling and on-road driving, we have found that a 31" x 11.50"and 10.50” tire works extremely well. We recommend using a 15" x 8" wide  wheel with a 2¾" back-space. We specially contract out the manufacture of wheels. The additional offset of these wheels keeps the tires from rubbing on the springs and adds a little over 2" to the Samurai's track width. No other off the shelf steel wheel in this price range will meet these specifications.

Wheel Spacers |
 If you have a specific set of wheels you'd prefer to use, Petroworks carries Wheel Spacers to address the offset problem. Manufactured from aluminum and precision machined, the spacers come with new OEM studs already pressed in place, as well as the additional lug nuts required. Adds 2 1/2" track width to your Samurai, Sidekick or Tracker and provides additional clearance between tires and springs.
